In the Spotlight
A Maze of a Time

Not often do you highlight a case in process unless you find it host of discoveries that may benefit others.

Post-death Executor Assistance
The client came to Survivorship Now earlier this summer to see if we could help her get a plan to tie up the loose ends on her mother's estate.    Her mother died in 2001 and she was left with an estate settlement that resembled a complex labyrinth, full of twists, turns and dead ends.    She brought us 2 large, blue storage tubs of paperwork and a summary of what she thought the outstanding issues were.   A few corporations, a franchise,  an unresolved environmental issue with real estate, stock certificates, un-cashed checks, questionable debts, the supposed dissolution of a corporation, franchise tax filings not completed - and the list goes on through a myriad of details that were not uncovered until after her mother's passing.       My client refers to her case as Survivorship Now's " worst case scenario" as the death was almost 8 years ago and the emotional toll it has taken on the surviving family has been significant.
